Actress On The Road
story behind the piece
In 2017, a few college friends and I drove cross country to make a short film in the town Truth or Consequences, NM. On a shoestring budget, it made more sense to drive than to fly and it also brought us a big great adventure along the way. As we were wrapping up, a movie I was about to work on called and told me they were beginning production a couple days earlier than planned. I had to turn around immediately and drove both the actress’ back to NY. The last leg of the trip was a22 hour drive to drop off the actresses in New York, turn back around and drive to Pennsylvania to immediately start work on an independent movie. During our drive a fog blanketed the land somewhere in Ohio and made a360 degree view of the landscape completely surreal. We pulled onto the shoulder to take in the fog and Ximena LaMadrid climbed on top of my car as I caught this image of her with the wind bustling her hair.
